For use in streams, channels & pipes, The AquaProfiler is able to measure flow in both harsh or difficult conditions.
The lightweight and compact sensor uses acoustic profiling technology to measure flow, velocity, water level & temperature.
The system measures both the vector and magnitude with twin velocity beams of up to 128 cells, to account for velocity variations within the flow and obtain a flow profile. A third vertical acoustic beam measures water level, thus combined with the velocity profile calculates flow very accurately .
The basic feature is its ability to establish the velocity in many seperate points along the measurement axis, or alternatively a single spot velocity in a specific cell.
No more need for time-consuming point measurments! Record the entire V-profile in high resolution automatically with only one measurement per vertical.
The main difference with other acoustic profilers is the fact that we can catch the entire Profile in several depths with a single measurement so for each vertical only one measurement is necessary.
Compared to traditional current meter measurements this saves a lot of time and also you get your data recorded and displayed instantly on the HDA-Pro.
Alternative to wading situations, we can supply the AquaProfiler®-CW can be used in combination with a cableway and also a variety of stationary solutions. (See web page for leaflet)
